Route Description

From the mountain terminal of the quad chairlift on the Tauplitzalm, head west as far as Hotel Hierzegger. You will now ascend via the west side to the top of the 1765 m high Schneiderkogel – a rather easy summit conquest not requiring any major physical exertion. But even if you happen to shed a drop or two of sweat: the magical views are worth every step you take. Pause to enjoy the scenery! Your descent will take you down the east side via the piste – the Schneiderkogel is one of three ski mountains on the Tauplitz. Once you get back to the bottom, hike along the same path back to idyllic Tauplitzalm village.

Tip

Be sure to stop by the small mountain church in Tauplitzalm village. With the unmistakable shape of its roof as well as the colorful stained-glass windows, it is the ideal place to take a break and collect your thoughts.
