Idyllic winter lifestyle and an opportunity to stay right there in the ski area - offered to you by Tauplitz Alm village, located at 1,650 m above sea level.

»Tauplitzalm-Dorf« is actually unique in all of Austria. A ski village at 1,650 meters with around 1,000 guest beds, traditional chalets and nice restaurants. The »Alm« is car-free in winter, with our public transportation system consisting of snowmobiles and snowcats, a source of joy for everyone, not just the kids - where else would you find that?! And skiing has never been more convenient, since most of our winter guests step right out of their front door and onto the ski slopes, cross-country trails and winter hiking paths.

If you are a beginner, several area ski schools will playfully teach you the basics of "the white sport".

Even good skiers never stop learning: Experienced ski instructors and mountain guides will give you tips and tricks for negotiating the deep snow, moguls hills, or ski-touring in alpine terrain.

And it's generally possible to ski on natural snow all the way back down to the valley bottom until Easter! In most cases, our winter season gets underway with cross-country skiing at the beginning of November, and ends 1 to 2 weeks after Easter - so, the prospects for fans of the "firn" snow have never been sunnier ;-)

The unique panorama and glorious nature experiences at the Alm can't be described in words. But happily, they CAN be experienced. We look forward to seeing you soon!
