Mountain foods, genuine hospitality and panoramic views

The hut keepers on Die Tauplitz know precisely what hits the spot for skiers. To accompany their culinary treats, many of them also serve up impressive panoramic views and sunsets. You will also find après-ski professionals on Die Tauplitz as well, of course.

If you give it all you’ve got out on the pistes, you need to recharge your batteries again afterwards. As variety-packed as Die Tauplitz is, so, too, are our culinary offerings: from Styrian specialties to spaghetti Bolognese and classic hut burgers – in other words, whatever it takes to make our piste heroes, and their tummies, very, very content.

Lots of eateries next to the pistes, all huts with tableside service

Numerous ski huts, mountain inns and restaurants right next to the pistes invite you to stop by for a bite to eat. All you need to do is slice right up to the front door, stick your poles in the snow and take a seat. If you choose to give yourself a culinary “workout” at the end of the day of skiing, we suggest considering one of the ski huts next to the valley runs that drop down to Tauplitz and Bad Mitterndorf. Here’s another tip: the new restaurant "Die Tauplitzerin" at the valley station in Tauplitz, where freshly prepared dishes on nicely filled plates at reasonable prices are certain to make you happy.

Sunny terraces, beautiful views, family-run

The dining establishments on Die Tauplitz will also win you over with their location: Many serve you scenery, others beautiful sunsets with views of the Dachstein. Some boast sunny terraces and specialize in putting some healthy color in your face while you eat. Our ski huts also include après-ski professionals – the people in Ausseerland - Salzkammergut are companionable by nature and love to celebrate. Numerous local eateries are also family-run. Whether ski hut, inn or restaurant – you will frequently get to know the owners in person, while many are also busy in the kitchen cooking for you themselves.
